A maximum of two persons per bedroom in each apartment is permitted. For example, two persons in a One Bedroom Apartment; eight persons in a Four Bedroom Apartment.

Do you have unfurnished apartments?
All of the apartments are fully furnished. We do not have any unfurnished apartments.

Do you have Studio Apartments?
We have one Studio Apartment.

How old are the apartments?
The apartments have been in operation since 1980.

Have the apartments been refurbished since opening?
The apartments and Galleria facilities were refurbished in 2004.

Are you located near Hyatt Regency Dubai?
The Galleria is part of the same complex as Hyatt Regency Dubai, with internal access to the hotel via the indoor shopping mall.

How far is The Galleria from Dubai International Airport?
Dubai International Airport is 12 kilometres from The Galleria. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes by car.

How far is The Galleria from Sharjah International Airport?
Sharjah International Airport is 35 kilometres from The Galleria. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes by car.

How far is The Galleria from Jebel Ali Free Zone?
Jebel Ali Free Zone is 30 kilometres from The Galleria. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes by car.

How far is The Galleria from Dubai International Convention Centre?
Dubai International Convention Centre is eight kilometres from The Galleria. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes by car.

Rates

Do you offer corporate rates?
The Galleria does offer corporate rates for companies requiring a large number of apartments. If you are a company seeking accommodation, please do not hesitate to contact our Sales Manager on +971 4 209 6764 who will be able to discuss and ascertain your needs in order to offer a corporate rate.

Why are corporate rates not available for weekly or two-week leases?
The Galleria offers leases for a minimum period of one month. Should you require a shorter stay, we would be delighted to offer you rates to stay in the adjoining hotel, Hyatt Regency Dubai. However, please do not hesitate to contact us about your short-stay apartment requirements, as we may be able to assist you subject to availability and dates required.

Do you offer any daily rates?
We operate on a long-lease basis; however, daily rates are sometimes offered subject to availability of apartments for the required period and seasonality.

What is included in the rent at The Galleria?

The following is included in the rent:

• Complete house-pack items (crockery / cutlery etc)

Are the rates inclusive of water and electricity?
All rates are inclusive of all utility charges.

Why do we have to pay 10% local government fees?
Local government legislation requires all landlords to collect municipality fees, payable from every tenant.

Can we pay by installments?
Full payment is required as part of the terms and conditions of the lease agreement.

Why do we have to pay on arrival and not upon check-out?
Advance payment is required as part of the terms and conditions of the lease agreement.

What is the refundable deposit for?
This is a requirement of the terms and conditions of the lease agreement.

When is the deposit refunded?
The refund is processed after check-out from the apartment and upon completion of the inventory and settlement of all outstanding charges. The refund process takes about 7 working days.

Do we get a refund should we leave before the end of the lease period?
We do not offer a refund on early termination of a lease agreement; however, your security deposit will be returned.

Do you have recreational facilities for children?
Kids Next Door is a dedicated area for children from 3 years up to 16 years. Our children's area provides a range of activities and fun for all the children, from storytelling and painting to PlayStation. Dedicated childminders will ensure the comfort and safety of your children whilst in their care. In addition, we also have an outdoor area with a sandpit, slides and swings and for the avid skaters, the skate park for roller-blading / skating.

Do you have a maid's room in the apartment?
There is no maid's room in any of the apartments except for the penthouses.

Do you have high-speed Internet connectivity available in the apartments?
A facility is available to provide ADSL connection. This has to be applied for by the resident directly from Etisalat, the local telecommunications provider. There is an administration charge for the connection from Etilsalat.

What services do you offer on a 24-hour basis?
Reception, Room Service and security services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Do you have a safety-deposit box in the apartment?
Safety-deposit boxes are not available in the apartment; however, you may secure a safety-deposit box with the Hyatt Regency Dubai hotel, located in the same building.

What electrical items are provided in the kitchen?
The following electrical items are provided:

• Dishwasher

Which TV channels do you provide?
There are up to 200 channels available. Our satellite package provider is Orbit Vision.

What are the charges for telephone calls, both local and international?
Local calls are free of charge. Calls to local mobile phones and international calls vary and are charged at local cost prices.

How many car parking spaces do you provide?
We offer one car parking space per apartment. For Four Bedroom Apartments and above, we provide two car parking spaces per apartment. A large public car park is also available on the premises.

Is it possible to open the windows in the apartment?
The windows in the apartment can be only partially opened for safety reasons.

Do you have non-smoking apartments?
We do not have designated non-smoking apartments. However, all our apartments are thoroughly refreshed after each tenancy.

Do you have a terrace or veranda?
There are no balconies in the apartments; however, we do provide a landscaped recreation area for private BBQs and relaxation.

Do the apartments have sea views?
All the apartments have a sea view.

Do you have a music system in the apartment?
A music system is not provided. There is, however, a range of radio channels available through the TV.

Do you have health club facilities?
Tenants have free access to Club Olympus, the health club at Hyatt Regency Dubai. Club Olympus has a fully equipped gym, pool, tennis and squash courts, running track and an aerobics studio.

Do you have a jacuzzi at The Galleria pool area?
The jacuzzi is located in the spa area of Club Olympus.

Can I have additional daily housekeeping services?
A housekeeping service is provided twice a week. Should you require additional housekeeping services, this can be arranged through our Housekeeping department for an additional charge, depending on the frequency and level of additional services required.

Is washing of dishes included in the housekeeping service?
This is not included as part of the twice weekly services offered. However, should you require this service, it can be arranged through our Housekeeping department for an additional fee.

Can we decorate the apartment?
You may paint the walls but this should be done at your own cost. However, we do require the apartment to be returned to its original state on departure.

Can we change the furniture in the apartment?
Regrettably, we cannot remove any furniture items from the apartments.

Do you offer baby cots or extra beds?
We provide baby cots as required. Any extra bed requirements are chargeable.

Do you allow pets in the apartment?
As part of the terms and conditions of the lease, pets are not permitted in the apartments.

Do you offer discounts in the hotel for tenants?
Tenants are entitled to a 25% discount on all food and 10% on beverage outlets in the hotel, with the exception of the discotheque.

Can we redeem Gold Passport points or air miles in The Galleria?
The apartments are not included in any of the Frequent Flyer or Gold Passport programmes.

Do you offer Gold Passport points or airline miles?
The apartments are not included in any of the Frequent Flyer or Gold Passport programmes; consequently, neither Gold Passport nor airline miles can be redeemed at The Galleria.

What are the main nationalities of residents in The Galleria?

Are there any schools nearby?
There are a range of schools available for children of all ages. The majority of schools are located in the Jumeirah district, which is approximately 30 minutes' drive from The Galleria. Most schools in Dubai offer a chargeable bus service between your residence and the school.

Are there many children's activities in Dubai?
There are a number of activities for children, including the following:

What types of medical facilities are available?
There is a doctor within The Galleria complex and Dubai hospital is located close to The Galleria. Dubai hospital is a government-run hospital; however, there are also private hospitals available. Many employers will provide medical services or insurance as part of the benefits package.

Are there any business groups in Dubai?
There are a large number of business groups based mainly on nationality. For example, the British Business Group, French Business Council etc.

Are there many sporting events in Dubai throughout the year?
There are numerous sporting events in Dubai every year, all of which are very successful. The main events are:
